Foundry announced in March 2021 that it was opening its Foundry USA mining pool, an entirely-United States-based Bitcoin mining operation, to industrial partners after testing in beta and private modes.
At the time of this announcement, Foundry released a joint statement with Blockcap, announcing that Blockcap is beginning to mine Bitcoin in the Foundry USA pool, and has already installed approximately 10,000 latest-generation mining machines in the pool. Blockcap was founded in 2020 by Darin Feinstein and is one of the largest Bitcoin mining organizations in North America.
